Enjoy daily yoga classes in the morning and late afternoon to nourish your body and nervous system in the gorgeous yoga studio. Fully catered farm-to-table meals under the pergola or cozy inside the farmhouse.

Afternoons will be your time to explore the areas around the retreat center, walking to the medieval walled town of Monteriggioni, hikes in the forested hills, hot springs, or simply resting and relaxing in the many quiet spaces around the retreat center.

The retreat is at Ebbio, a gorgeously restored 13th century farmhouse surrounded by beautiful forests and inspiring landscapes overlooking the medieval walled town of Monteriggioni.

The country ways of old Italy are preserved at Ebbio, where they dedicate themselves to the organic cultivation of olive trees, fruit, vegetables and herbs, which they use in preparing their home-made meals. And you'll also enjoy seeing geese, chickens, donkeys, horses, dogs, cats and plenty of butterflies.

Ebbio is nearby Siena (10km) and Florence (45km), and a short walk from Monteriggioni, in the heart of the region of Tuscany, renowned for its picturesque landscapes and heritage.

Begin each day of the retreat with a coffee or tea and then head over to the cozy yoga studio with hardwood floors, arched ceilings and all the props you need for a nourishing morning yoga class. After a day of resting or exploring, we return to the yoga studio for another class before dinner.

All of the yoga classes are in the signature Heart + Bones approach- inclusive, loving movements that are supportive of all bodies. We'll move and unwind tension from our shoulders and hips (and travel!) with a nourishing combination of stretching, mobility and strength. Combined with mindfulness, deep and long relaxations and always laughter, you will feel grounded and reconnected to your wonderful self.

The yoga studio has yoga mats and props for everyone so that you don't have to bring your own... unless you want to!

Ebbio offers an in-house chef that uses fresh, locally grown ingredients, to create delicious family-style meals. These meals are certified organic and vegetarian.

Their mantra is ‘food is medicine’, with meals always rich in nutrients, organic and vegetarian, their menu varies to complement what’s in season and their fields.

A morning beverage & fresh fruit, brunch and dinner are included during each full day of the retreat, along with two picnic lunches for you to take away for your afternoon free-time adventures. Dietary restrictions like gluten and dairy can easily be accommodated, just let us know at registration.

The boutique accommodation offers 9 unique rooms, a mix of singles and twins - 5 bathrooms, a dining and lounging area, an activity room, a massage room, and a serene outdoor space perfect for our group meals and gatherings.

All rooms have shared bathrooms with 5 bathrooms in the villa between 9 bedrooms. Double, Triple and Single accommodations available.

Free Time + Excursions

There will be about 5 hours of free time each day. Do as much or as little as what feels good for you. You can enjoy historic hiking trails right outside the door or a 20 minute walk to the medieval walled town of Monteriggioni for lunch and exploration. Naps, reading a book in a cozy nook or hammock are also wonderful.

Massage at Ebbio, horseback riding, bike riding, wine tasting, hot springs and day trips. If you decide to rent a car here are some nearby activities:

• Roman Hot Spring: Petriolo is a 45 minutes drive from Ebbio and has hot sulphur spring water with a river.
• Monteriggioni (5 minutes drive, or 20 minute walk)
• Siena (15 minutes drive)
• Calle Val D'elsa (15 Minutes drive)
• Chianti Hills/Wine Tasting (30 minutes drive)
• San Gimignano (45 minutes drive)

What's the nearest airport?

The closest airports are Firenze (55km away), Pisa (95km away) and Rome (250km away). We recommend flying into Pisa or Florence. From there you can catch the train to Siena followed by a 25 minute taxi to the venue. Florence is the closest airport and is about a 1hr drive away, Pisa Airport is about an 1.5 hr drive away, and Rome Airport is about a 3 hour drive away. We recommend Florence, however, all surrounding airports are connected via the Italian railway system. Siena and Castellina in Chianti are the closest train stations to Ebbio.

How can I arrive at Ebbio?

You can arrive at Ebbio by driving, public transportation, or private driver. Renting a car is an option for ease of movement throughout your stay. You can rent cars directly at the Florence or Rome airport and drive to Ebbio.

Alternatively, you may take a train to one of the nearby stations. The nearest is “Monteriggioni – Castellina Scalo”. It is a 10 minute drive from Ebbio. There are NO taxis at the station, however. If you choose this option, please contact Ebbio to arrange a transport from the station to Ebbio (cost around €20).

The next nearest train station is Siena, which is about 20 minutes away. From the Siena station you can take a city taxi (cost around €35-40). You may also call Radio Taxi Siena directly at +39 0577 49222.

If you choose to take a private car from Florence, it is typically around €200. We recommend booking directly, but we are happy to provide contacts.

What options are there for massages and how much do they cost?

Ebbio works with a number of local therapists, who specialize in various massage styles, including relaxing, sport, ayurvedic, kobido (facial massage), etc. Massage costs may vary, but a 50 minute massage is typically €100. Payment is in cash directly to the Ebbio front office.

What's the cancellation policy?

€350 non-refundable deposit.

Please contact us before departure by email, explaining your reasons.
In case of cancellation, the following costs on the payment paid will be collected:

• Up to 61 days before departure: full reimbursement of payment made
• 60 to 31 days before departure: 30% of the payment paid
• 30 to 22 days before departure: 50% of the payment paid
• 21 to 15 days before departure: 80% of the payment paid
• 14 to 0 days before departure or if the person does not show up on the day of departure: 100% of the payment made;
  
  Medical costs at the place of stay, repatriation, theft or deterioration of personal or public property will not be covered by Heart and Bones(covered by the insurance of the person concerned ).
  It is not possible to obtain a refund for a trip, stay (accommodation), or for services not consumed.

We understand that things come up and sometimes trips need to be cancelled in unforeseen circumstances. We recommend purchasing trip cancellation/travel insurance for your flights. This insurance can be applied to provide a full refund in the case of a personal medical emergency or in most family emergencies, but important to confirm with your insurance provider.
